i am feeling pretty good. i have started teaching an exercise group, (i don't know if i have already wrote about it). anyway. i am down to 124. my goal is about 115. not by our date probably, but maybe the end or middle of march. i wish sooner, but i will hopefully be playing it safe if i leave it at the end of march.
sorry lisa. i was kind of going through what you are i think. best of luck. actually, i would pray about it if have not already. ask for help to be better with your food or whatever.

Another weigh in for Kimber
This morning I weighed in at 114.5. Finally officially reached my goal on Thursday! Thanks Lisa. I think you look good too. I think I can maintain this weight as I continue to work out. I also bought No more trouble zones and will try it tomorrow. I got it so I can have a variety and to help with the trouble zones. Hope everyone does good this week! Keep working hard.
Getting Back Down
All I'm going to say is, my goal for the next two weeks is to get back down to 130. I'm sorry that I've puts some pounds on. I don't like the way I feel mentally or physically. I wish food wasn't such a temptation to me. It is however, and I've got to learn to live with it. It really bugs me that it takes forever to lose it and just a few weeks to pack it on. What's up with that? Do I have to starve myself for the rest of my life???
Lisa
p.s. I saw Kimber last night- you look awesome!

Kimber Weigh In
This morning I weighed in at 115.4 so I didn't meet my goal. I am not doing too well with the eating thing. But I have been working out everyday except Wednesday last week and I finally got enough courage to try level 3 of 30 day shred on Saturday and today. I am hoping that helps me lose the 4 ounces I would still like to lose. I am still just shooting for 115 which I am basically there. I am ok with waiting to celebrate too. So February 15th sounds fine with me. My goal for then is still 115 so mainly for me it is to maintain my weight, which means make sure i stick to my workout schedule. Technically I weigh the least on Monday mornings so I could still lose some because it seems to be about 116 or 117 by Saturdays. Not really sure why but I think I weigh less Monday mornings because we eat early on Sundays and maybe it is water weight on Saturdays or something. Anyways good luck girls! You can do it. I know you can. Make sure you set realistic goals for yourselves and don't over do it.

Celebration
I also do not feel like I deserve to celebrate. I have not really worked very hard towards exercising or eating well. I did okay last week and this week I have also eaten fine, but I would like to extend our goal date. I am not sure to when and how much weight I want to loose. I am trying to get an exercise class going for our ward. I am going to teach a few times a week if there are enough people interested. If I have people depending on me, then I will exercise, so that is my new plan. If that ever happens, then I think I can count on loosing 2 lbs a week, maybe more, depending on the week. If our goal date ends up being February 15th, and I start my class next week, then I will plan on loosing 8 lbs by the 15th. I am excited about getting a class going and I think there will be a interest because the weather is so nasty. Alright, until next time!

Lisa's weigh-in
I weighed-in at 130 this morning. Two pounds down from last week. I'm happy about it. We went to Sunriver over the weekend and ate junk ALL weekend long, so I am surprised that I'm at 130. I'd like to be at 128 by next week. I think I should be able to do it.
I got a new Jillian Michaels work out video called, "No More Trouble Zones" It's 40 minutes long and targets- you guessed it- trouble zones! Like love handles, arm flab, butt and thighs. I did it for the first time this morning. It was hard! We'll see if I'm sore tomorrow- I'm sure I will be. I really liked it though. I don't think I can do it everyday b/c of how long it is, but I'd like to do it 2-3 times a week.
As far as going out... I don't feel like I deserve to. I'm at the exact same weight I was at Thanksgiving. So I'm going to say no. I really want to, but I want to earn it. If you guys want to go, you should. I'm still setting my goal of 120 for Feb. 15 and would love to celebrate then if you want.
Have a good week! -Lisa

Kimber Weigh In
I am happy to say I weighed 115.5. I guess I did ok. I still need to work harder I feel like with the eating healthy. I worked out every day but Friday and Sunday. I didn't do so well with the healthy foods. I craved sweets all the time and we still had some candy from Christmas that I put way up high and wasn't going to open them but I opened a bag of cinnamon bears and ate almost all of them myself. I knew I shouldn't but couldn't help myself. I am hoping I can get better at this and I just need to not have any of that stuff around. If we do open something like that I need to limit it. Cinnamon bears are just my favs so that was hard. Now they are gone though so I should be good. But I guess if I can maintain my weight with being good about working out than I should be fine. I still think 115 is a good weight for me so I want to lose half a pound by next week and keep it all off.
So, ladies do we want to meet up or do anything next week as it is the end of our 8 weeks? We have all worked hard and I think we deserve to treat ourselves to something nice. We could also extend the date if that is what you guys think we should do? It is up to you two. I don't care really. i should meet my goal of 115 by next week but of course I made the smallest amount as my goal.

Brindy's Update
So, I exercised Monday and Wednesday. I was planning on exercising Friday too, but I ended up wathcing a friends child. Anyway, I have rethought my plan. I am going to ease back into exercising. I also am not sure I want to start running in the dark. I can handle the cold, but not the dark and the cold. Also, I would love to run a marathon, I just don't know how to fit it in. I already have a hard time making time to exercise. I think it is great you are doing it lisa. I do have to say that I am motivated to loose weight again, so I think things will go pretty well the next little while, knock on wood. Also, I am in the process of finding a gym that will let me teach an exercise class in the mornings before Zach leaves for work. That way I will have to exercise and Zach can be with the kids. Anyway, hope you both have done well this week. On Wednesday I was back down to 125, but since then it has been 125 1/2 -126 1/2, I think once I get with it I will notice more of a difference.

Lisa's weigh-in
Oh ladies, what have we done? I weighed in today at 132. Before the break, I was consistantly at 127. So, I think it's safe to say I gained 5 pounds over the last 2 1/2 weeks. And just like you, Kimber, I can totally tell. I feel like my stomach is so flabby and fat. I ate everything over the break. I didn't even try to control it. There was junk everywhere. I was so glad to get home and be away from it. I'm having a hard time mentally getting back on track. I know it won't make me happy to eat it, so I need to just say no!
I know January 19th is our deadline, and I will do what I can to lose as much as I can by then, but I am setting another deadline for me- Feb. 15. That's seven weeks from now, and I want to weigh 115. I don't know if I'll be able to maintain that weight, but I'm going to try. I know that if I can get back into that "zone" I can lose the rest of the weight.
And I just want to put this out there, June 5th is the Newport Marathon. It's a great, flat, easy course. I'm going to do it. Another friend in my ward is doing it, so we're going to do some of our longer runs together. But I wanted to invite you to do it with me. Here are my reasons for doing it (aside from the fact that I love to run). 1. It's easier for me to run farther now that I've lost weight. 2. Training will help me keep the weight off. 3. Training will help tone my body 4. There's a good chance I'll be pregnant next year and won't be able to do it. If running a marathon has crossed your mind, now is a great time to do it- we're skinny and in shape! And we can train together.
Brindy, as far as specific foods: Slimfast, and fresh only fruits and veggies. I try to really limit my dinner intake. I like to snack on dried fruits from Trader Joes that aren't coated in sugar. They also sell whole wheat honey pretzel sticks that I like to snack on.
Also, FYI, I'm taking SoloSlim. It's an appitite suppressant. It's caffine free, apparently everyone is Hermiston is taking it. My mom introduced me to it- and it works. It's $42 a bottle, and 30 pills in a bottle.
Okay, here's to us- Cheers! We can do it :)

Kimber's Sad Weigh in
Well, I am sad to say that I gained over the holidays. I weighed in at 116.9 :( I am getting back on track now and will be watching what I eat from now on. I gained 1.7 lbs in 2 weeks. I need to lose 2 lbs now in 2 weeks to meet my goal. I know I can do it I just need to. I ate so much during the holidays and I know when I was eating I was gaining I just couldn't stop. It is amazing what just a 1.5 or so does to me, when I was down to 115 I felt like my stomach was flat and it didn't hang over when I sat down, finally, but now I have that roll back. I did good and exercised almost everyday the last two weeks, but I guess it does matter what you eat. My family had candy around and sweets all the time so I ate them. I am not going to get down about it, I just need to focus and work hard and eat better. I am glad I enjoyed the holidays though. Good luck to you too ladies.
Brindy, what I did when I dieted was I had a Slimfast for breakfast, then a 100 calorie mid-morning snack, Slimfast for lunch with some fruit and maybe a little bit of what the kids had, then a 100 calorie afternoon snack, then a normal dinner, and then a 100 calorie evening snack. Now I was not super accurate on the calorie counting, but just guessed. My favorite snack I found was cashews, you get a pretty good handful and they seem to fill me up. That was how I started the diet, then after a couple of weeks I noticed that my stomach shrunk and I didn't need all those snacks or some days I would take out a Slimfast and just have a snack. I know Lisa didn't do two Slimfasts a day so you can ask her too. Oh, I bought the Kirkland chocolate weight loss shakes from Costco that are equivalent to Slimfast, they are a good price ( I think) and yummy! I did have the powder stuff but didn't like it as much, so I ended up just buying the Costco stuff because it was easier and tastier.

where have you been brindy?
sorry for being so bad at posting lately. i guess it is okay though because i would probably be posting the same thing over and over.
this week i weighed in 126 lbs. so i have gained a little. if i remember right i was 124 1/2 or 125 on my new scale. anyway, i don't think i have even exercise 10 times since thanksgiving. pretty sad, i know. however, i have decided that starting monday i am going to workout earlier in the morning, about 6:15am. i am pretty much done nursing lyra and i am ready to workout without kids. i plan to run mon, wed, fri and do 30 day shred tues and thurs. now you know and are to keep me to it. i am also planning to stop eating all these sweets and food that have been calling my name the last several weeks. i have been breaking out a lot lately and i am sure it is because of all the junk i have been eating. i felt like i was doing a good job with portion control, but that flew out of the window quick with the holidays.
okay, listing this so i can understand my goals, starting monday:
1. run 6:15am: m, w, f
2. 30 day shred6:15am: t, r
3. portion control
4. sweets control
oh, and lisa, katie and ashley were here visiting me tonight. we were talking about weight and i mention you and i were doing this "biggest loser" thing with some friends. they both commented on how they saw you lately and how good you looked, so good job!
alright, so i know you both have shared some of what you are doing diet wise, but i want to know more in detail, like what you have for breakfast normally, lunch, dinner, snacks... now that i am not nursing lyra and don't have to watch my calorie intake as much, i am going to try and cut back a little.
okay, there is my post. thanks for doing so good both of you. you motivate me to be better!
