I was supposed to be good all week except maybe on Halloween, but last night I did something I regret this morning, so yes, I feel the same way as you Brindy and Lisa. Pretty much all I had for dinner last night was 2 biscuits and several cookies. Then finally at about 8:30 I had a tiny bowl of soup because I realized all I had for dinner was biscuit and cookies. I was at my in laws and that is all they were pretty much eating so I joined them. I totally feel fatter this morning. I guess I will just have to work out extra hard and long today. I am trying not to think too much about it, as you should too girls. Just make up for it. I hope you all have a good Halloween and don't gain too much weight after all we have worked so hard. But I do plan on enjoying some junk, just not too much. Well, off to work out now. Kimber

Re: Yuck!
Brindy, I totally know what you mean about wasting all your hard work. I do that too, all the time. Somehow you find a reason to make it okay. But, at least for me, I ALWAYS regret it afterwards. That's what I keep telling myself: it's not worth it b/c you'll just be mad afterwards, and possibly gain back some weight. On the other hand, I think you should be able to have a cookie- any time you want- but only one. That's the hard part though, right? Anyway, I'm totally there with you girl, I know what you mean. Start fresh in the morning! -Lisa
Yuck!
Okay, so I have exercised everyday this week, except today. Tuesday I was craving cookies and gave in to the crave. I ate sooooo many cookies, yuck! I am a little frustrated with myself because I have been, on most days for the last couple weeks, running/walking with a friend in the morning, then I will come home and do one of the workouts from 30 day shred. I feel like I have been working hard, but then I wasted all that time and energy on some stupid cookies! I guess I just need to move on and get over it. Tomorrow is a new day! Actually, today is a new day! Good luck everyone. I really hope I did not gain weight.

Lisa's weigh-in
Sorry this is late. I weighed 141 today, 5 pounds down. I'm really surprised and super happy about it. I'm a little sick, so food hasn't sounded that good and I know that's made a difference. And I've been trying to stay busy with projects. Also, I bought some dried fruit from Trader Joe's that super tastey, low calorie and no added sugar. It's a great snack that seems more like a treat. We have a ward Halloween party on Friday. I don't plan on eating anything there. And I'm drinking 1-2 slimfasts a day. It's nice to not have to think about what I'm going to eat. I just fix it and get out of the kitchen. I'm also snacking on fresh veggies. It sounds like everyone is doing good. And it's so encouraging to keep going when I read that you guys are successful- I don't want to be left behind! So thank you! -Lisa

brindy's weigh, 3 weeks down
I weighed in at 128 today. I am kind of surprised. I am very happy with that. I feel like I worked out pretty hard, but maybe did not make the best diet choices. It was an okay week. I have lost 7 lbs so far. I can tell a little. The thing I am most excited about are the shorts I fit into now and the two pairs of pants and can fit into more comfortably. I still have some other pants in my drawer I would like to be able to wear by Thanksgiving, but we will see.

Weigh In
I weigh in at 126, I lost 1 lb. Total weight lose is 5 lbs for me so far. I still think I can do better, I hope this week isn't too hard with it being Halloween and all. I did really well yesterday at staying away from sweets, I didn't eat any candy or cookies at my in-laws when the kids decorated Halloween cookies. I also got some help with nutrition and weight management for my 4 year old daughter so I am hoping that will help my whole family stay on track and eat healthier. I know I will splurge a little this weekend with it being Halloween but I plan on working out more this week to help with that factor. Hope to hear good reports from all of you too. WE CAN DO IT GIRLS! IT IS WORTH IT! Oh one thing I am doing for me and my daughter is to try to drink a whole glass of water before I eat a meal to help me eat less. So far I think it is helping; it also helps keep us hydrated.

For veggies: I will get pretty board with just raw vegetables, so I would also like some good recipes. However, something I like is steamed veggies. I really like steamed broccoli and cauliflower. I usually will buy the frozen bag because they are already cut up and they are just as good for you as eating fresh. They also are not too expensive. So ya, I will pour a bunch in a small saucepan, put a little water in there, cover and boil them for a minute or so, then let them simmer for 5- 10 mins. It depend on how tender or crisp you like them. After that I drain the water out and salt and pepper them a little. Occasionally, I will put butter on them and let that melt. Personally, I think steamed veggies are pretty good and simple.
Something else that is pretty good is to saute them in a tiny bit of olive oil and add garlic, salt and any other seasoning you like. Rosemary is good. I don't know how well sauteing is with the frozen veggies, but with fresh ones it will be good.
Also, I found out that cooked green beans are really yummy with a little butter and quartered almonds. I usually use canned green beans, because that is quickest.
Hope that helpped!
